Ben Limpanukorn
Computer Science PhD Candidate at UCLA
I'm a PhD candidate in Computer Science at UCLA advised by Miryung Kim. In the 2025–26 academic year, I was supported by an Amazon Trainium Fellowship.
My research focuses on software testing, particularly for MLIR compilers. My goal is to automate correctness testing, from generating test inputs to deriving executable specifications that serve as test oracles.
I also work on optimizing kernels for AWS Trainium. I use performance models to guide LLM-based kernel optimization and to generate tests that find bugs introduced by those optimizations.
